YOUR SAUNA COVER GUIDE
Care for your sauna cover
Installation, cleaning and warranty information for your sauna cover.
Install your sauna cover
Fit the supplied plastic water-protection sheet
- Open the supplied plastic sheet fully over the sauna roof.
- Fit the outer sauna cover over the plastic sheet.
- Open the sauna-cover door.
- Trim only the excess around the front needed to hide the plastic when the cover door is open. Do not trim the plastic above the sauna roof.
Install the wind-protection snaps
The included screws are stapled to your printed guide. Remove and set them aside before installation.
- Close the cover around your sauna.
- Lightly tap each snap with a hammer to mark its location on the wood.
- Use a screwdriver to install the included screw at each mark.
Check after bad weather: The roof fabric resists water penetration, but it is sewn to the canvas sides. Thoroughly inspect the sauna for moisture after adverse weather.
Keep and follow any additional installation instructions supplied for your particular sauna cover. Contact us if the materials supplied differ from this guide.
Clean by sauna-cover material
Check the material on your order or ask us to identify it before cleaning. The general acrylic sheet and the Sauleda warranty specify different cleaners; use the instructions for your actual sauna-cover material.
Sauleda marine canvas sides
Use 1 cup of non-soap detergent per gallon of water. Wet the surface, apply the solution with a soft brush, and scrub gently. Do not use bleach.
Aqualon roof fabric
Use a mild soap solution, such as Ivory. Rinse thoroughly with clear water. Do not use bleach.
Other acrylic or Sunbrella sauna covers
Use these directions only for a sauna cover supplied with the general acrylic or the applicable fabric care instructions. That sheet describes acrylic marine/awning fabric as water repellent.
- Hose off monthly with clear water to prevent dirt becoming embedded.
- In most environments, a thorough cleaning is needed every couple of years.
- Use natural soap, such as dishwashing liquid. Never use detergent.
- Use cold to lukewarm water, never hotter than 100 degrees.
- Air dry only. Never apply heat to acrylic fabric.
Use the current material-specific limited warranty terms below. Older orders are governed by the terms supplied with their order.
